Maria Elena Bello

 Maria Elena Bello is an American actress. Her film credits include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a prominent figure on television as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998) and with other prominent roles, like Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath as well as Jacqueline Sloane as a Special Agent on NCIS from 2017 to 2021. Bello was born on 18 April 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Bello was a student of political science at Villanova University. Bello continued her training in acting in several New York theater productions after she completed her degree. Bello was married to Dan McDermott and has a son named Jackson. Bello published a blog in November of 2013 about her same-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended.
